Giving Back Over Thanksgiving: Celebrating Columbus Firefighters and Building Community with The Dream Center

We had much to celebrate this past Thanksgiving holiday. Giving is in our DNA, which is why we distributed roughly 1,450 meals throughout the metro Columbus community over the holiday weekend. In sum, we delivered 60 Farmhouse Feasts to 35 fire stations, feeding 450 fire station crew members. Additionally, we partnered with the Columbus Dream Center to distribute 1,000 meals to families in need.

The meals included all the signature dishes that people know and love from us, including slow-roasted turkey alongside classic Thanksgiving sides, including mashed potatoes and gravy, house-made dressing, green beans with ham, and freshly baked rolls.

While families across the city gathered to celebrate, Columbus’ firefighters remained on call, serving and protecting the Columbus community. We are so proud to extend what we do best to thank local heroes like the Columbus Fire Department for their service to the community.

Our continued partnership with the Columbus Dream Center, a non-profit organization committed to providing essential resources to those in need across central Ohio, is also very important to us during the holidays and throughout the year. Combining our food donation with the Columbus Dream Center’s efforts, we were able to help provide 1,000 meals on Thanksgiving Day. These meals served 12 locations in underserved communities where food insecurity remains a significant challenge, all made possible by the support of over 200 dedicated volunteers.
