Original sausage sandwich

The recipe looks and sounds great, but I have some questions and comments. The recipe calls for two (2) slices of Red Onion, but the picture only shows one. Which do you recommend? The recipe NAME mentions tomatoes, but the recipe itself doesn't list any. Also, you should - discard-the plastic wrap, not - disguard- it.

I'VE HAS THIS MANY MANY TIMES. AND ITS REALLY AS GOOD OR BETTER THAN A BEEF PATTY. I WAS THE INSPECTOR AT YOUR HILLSDALE, MI. PLANT, AND THE PLANT MANEGER TOLD ME TO TRY USING YOUR SAUSAGE ON THE GRILL INSTEAD OF BEEF PATTIES. SO I DID. AND WAS AMAZED ON HOW GOOD IT WAS. SO I'VE BEEN DOING IT EVER SINCE.

WOW!! You sure have a winner with this one! It was not greasy and has great flavor. You should offer this on your menu. It would be a great lunch/brunch item platter served with your coleslaw (the best) and a fresh fruit cup.

Miss having this sandwich available at my local Bob Evans Restaurant. I usually dressed it up by adding a piece of American cheese and leaving off the tomatoes and onion.
I Love this Bob Evans Original Sausage Sandwich

At first I thoughrt, oh man, another sausage sandwich without the egg. I was wrong. This was just like a hamburger with that awesome Bob Evans sausage flavor. A very tasty and unique delight. Thanks for the recipe, I'll be making these again soon.

I just read the recipe for the Bob Evans OSriginal Sausage Sandwich w/Red Onion, Tomatoes. American Cheese and Old Route 35 Sauce. I just ate at your restaurant at the Legends last night and had one of my favorites, Fork and Knife Turkey Sandwich, next tie it will be Pot Pie if you aren't out of them. And I purchased the sauc, but I got the spicier one, sure hope it's not TOOOOOO hot. I'll bet it will be good just as all of y our dinners are. I also have home grown tomatoes but have to get a red onion. I'm getting hungry just thinking abut it.
