Our Zesty Hot Sausage and melted cheese top cocktail bread for a toasty treat.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Bob Evans Zesty Hot Sausage Roll
- 1 package pasteurized cheese (8 oz)
- 24 slices cocktail-size rye bread
- Optional garnish: chopped tomato and oregano
Directions
Preheat oven to 350F. In skillet over medium heat, crumble and cook sausage until browned. Cut cheese into cubes and add to sausage. Stir together until melted. Remove from heat. Spread sausage mixture on rye bread. Place bread on a baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes until bread is toasted. Remove from oven and top with tomatoes and oregano.

I make these for parties and for my daughter when she comes home from college, she loves them, and by the way, I add alittle garlic when browning the sausage, and they freeze great, love them!!!!
